Café Ella, a Small Café in Rehavia.

Café Ella

Location: Rehavia Jerusalem

Price Point: $$

Kosher: Yes

Vegan and Gluten free options: Yes

Café Ella is a nice atmosphere in the middle of Rehavia. A trendy little cafe with outside seating area surrendered by greenery. The setting is very agreeable and is a great place to stay. I ordered the Bree and Pesto bruschetta (46 NIS) and the pancakes. The taste was very good and the flavours went well together. However, the proportions were quite small compared to the price ratio. It was not very abundant. We left the restaurant hungry…. The Bree sandwich was good, yet the Bree was cut so thinly I could barley taste it, they could have been more generous. The pancakes were the same story. Three pancakes with a bit of dry fruit for 44 NIS, it was more a dessert portion than a breakfast portion as advertised . Service was good enough, sometimes very slow and at times very efficient. It’s a bit of a shame because it’s a place with taste and a lot of potential but I wish they weren’t so stingy.

Atmosphere: 8/10

Service: 6/10

Food: 7/10 (good but not enough quantity)
